・YOSHIWARA, a Shogunate-authorised brothel that lasted for about 250 years on a vast site of about 100,000 square meters
YOSHIWARA in Edo was a place with the prestige and traditions of the official world that distinguished it from other brothels.
・This academic examination of the ‘Edo Yoshiwara’ culture and art, spanning some 250 years, presents around 250 ukiyo-e and ink paintings and fascinating fashions of the era’s prostitutes.

・Ueno Toshogu is a shrine in the time-honored Japanese religion of Shinto and was built and dedicated in 1627 to the memory of Tokugawa Ieyasu the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate.
・Despite major earthquakes and wars, the structure has remained intact, and has been designated as an important cultural property of Japan due to its representative nature of the Edo period.
・ It’s gorgeous buildings are trimmed in gold leaf and contain beautifully intricate carvings.

Senso-ji Temple is one of Tokyo’s most popular tourist attractions, where visitors can experience traditional Japanese culture and history. The magnificent main hall and five-storey pagoda attract visitors. The temple’s gardens and precincts also offer a tranquil atmosphere. Furthermore, the power of the Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate) and the Great Lanterns will surely amaze you.
